Paso Doble Dancing
Below is a smaller excerpt of this dance description from What Dance Are You?
Romantic conflict and resolution.
The Paso Doble is perhaps a metaphorical story of passionate lovers and their necessary companionship to conquer life’s struggles.
Each Paso Doble dance envisions a matador (bullfighter) and their cape, determined to defeat the relentless challenges of an invisible bull. The leader plays the role of the matador, while the follower plays the role of the cape, as well as the bull to complete the choreography.
The Paso Doble is part of the International Latin group of ballroom dances.
If you wish to learn the Paso Doble, you are advised to seek out your local ballroom dance studios. Experiencing this dance socially (away from your local ballroom dance instruction studios) on a regular basis is very rare.
